Obtaining

Dune Armor Trim Smithing Template can be obtained from certain Event NPCs.

Usage

Dune Armor Trim Smithing Templates are used at Smithing Tables to apply their pattern and a chosen color to armor. They are consumed on use.

Contrary to their function in vanilla Minecraft, smithing templates cannot be duplicated. Additional copies must be purchased from an associated vendor.

Trivia

All trim materials present in Minecraft 1.20.2 are obtainable with the exception of Nether Quartz. Notably, the black color provided by Netherite Ingots may be renewably obtained by using Shifting Metal Ingots as a trim material rather than a quest item. This will leave the quest initiated by its Curious Parcel uncompletable, and must be superseded by a new quest to disappear.
