Vines can be planted on full block sides, and will grow downwards until it reaches a floor. Vines grant Herbalism XP, and drop Pepper. Vines will not grant XP if the Vine block above it is broken first.

Obtaining
Vines may be obtained from Jungles, Swamps, and Lush Caves. Vines will also generate on Jungle Trees, including those grown by the player. Shears must be used to acquire Vines as an item.
