Leaves
Item Details
TypePlant

Leaves are natural blocks that generate as part of trees. Despite being a full block, they can be waterlogged.

For additional information, please refer to the corresponding item in Vanilla Minecraft.

Obtaining

Leaves naturally occur on trees throughout Midgard and Myrkheim.

They can only be obtained by breaking them manually, as felling the tree stem will cause the leaves to despawn.

While leaves can be harvested without tools, certain tools offer advantages. Hoes break leaves faster, with Tier 3 or higher hoes breaking them instantly. Shears also break leaves instantly but have low durability, cannot be repaired, and wear out quickly. Although axes help increase your logging skill and XP gain, they don't improve leaf-breaking speed and are therefore not ideal for this task. Leaves provide very little base XP, but this can be offset by applying Runes to a suitable hoe.

Usage

Leaves come in ten varieties, each corresponding to a different tree type: oak, birch, spruce, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, azalea, flowering azalea, and cherry. Master Lumberjack Armor requires most of these leaf types in its crafting recipes. Otherwise, leaves serve as cosmetic blocks with no additional functionality.
